Privacy Policy for the Bug Evolution Guide

This site loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra when a page opens. The cookie banner tells you so and keeps an Accept or Reject choice for 180 days; Reject turns all three off.

Who we are

The site is bugevolution.org, a guide to the Roblox game Bug Evolution. Contact [email protected]. We are not Roblox Corporation and we are not Corgi Crew. This notice covers the pages on bugevolution.org only; Roblox, Discord, YouTube and the wikis we link to have their own notices.

What loads when a page opens

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra are loaded on the first view, before you touch the banner. The banner is a notice and a withdrawal control, not a gate: visitors who have not chosen yet are treated as granted, and Reject turns all three scripts off by saving the choice and reloading the page. The choice is stored for 180 days. The Cookie settings button in the footer opens the banner again at any time, and Accept switches the scripts back on.

The site loader requests GA4, Clarity and Adsterra after rendering starts. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we record Reject without waiting for a click.

Google Analytics 4 (Google)

Provider: Google LLC. Requests go to www.googletagmanager.com and www.google-analytics.com. Purpose: measure page views and guide usage. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and property-specific session cookies. The Consent Mode default is set before configuration: analytics_storage is granted, while ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are denied; ads_data_redaction is enabled. Accept grants the three advertising signals. Reject sets all four consent signals to denied and reloads the page without requesting gtag.js. Google’s policy describes its data handling; this site does not assert an unverified account retention setting.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft)

Provider: Microsoft Corporation. The initial tag is requested from www.clarity.ms (project z7a9xfolw2); the service may make additional requests to Microsoft Clarity collection hosts. Purpose: session replay and heatmaps. Clarity may use cookies including _clck and _clsk and Microsoft identifiers. It loads by default and stops after Reject reloads the page. See the Clarity cookie documentation and Microsoft Privacy Statement for current storage and retention details.

Adsterra (advertising)

Provider: Adsterra Network. This site requests two configured placements from bicea.org: a native banner and a Social Bar. They load by default; Reject saves your choice and reloads the document without these scripts. Closing the Social Bar hides that placement for 180 days, while the native banner remains enabled unless you Reject. Adult advertisements are disabled in the saved placement configuration. Network scripts and creatives may contact further delivery hosts or set their own cookies; see the Adsterra Privacy Policy. We do not publish a guessed list of ad cookies or expiry times.

YouTube (Google)

Guide videos use a thumbnail hosted on this site. No YouTube iframe loads before Play is pressed. After that click, the player loads from www.youtube-nocookie.com and may request YouTube media and Google services. The player can use its own storage and requests under Google’s Privacy Policy. Cookie Reject controls this site’s GA4, ads and Clarity; the video remains a separate action initiated by pressing Play.

The two storage keys on this site

Key be_consent: your choice (granted or rejected) and the time you made it, in local storage on this site, kept 180 days, then treated as missing. Purpose: remember the banner and apply the choice to the GA4, ad and replay scripts. Key be_social_closed: set when you close the fixed Social Bar, kept 180 days, so the bar does not come back on the next page. Both keys stay in your browser and are not sent to us; clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.

Your choices and requests

Use Reject to stop GA4, ads and replay, or Cookie settings to change that choice. Browser controls can also restrict third-party requests and storage. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of the correspondence you send us, and you can object to the banner storage. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where you live. We answer privacy mail at the contact address above.

We keep email you send us only as long as we need it to answer and to keep a correction record. We do not sell personal data. Outbound links to Roblox, Discord, wikis and Wikipedia are other sites with their own notices. Changes to this policy show up as a new date on this page.

Questions

Do you load trackers before I click Accept?

Yes. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra start on the first view. The banner is a notice; Reject turns all three off for 180 days.

Do you set cookies?

The banner itself uses local storage keys be_consent and be_social_closed, not cookies. Google, Microsoft and Adsterra set their own cookies as described above.

How long is my choice kept?

180 days in your browser, then the banner treats the choice as missing. Cookie settings in the footer reopens it.

Who do I email?

[email protected].
